As stewards of the Built Environment, we pride ourselves on contributing to the sustainability of our projects while providing our client’s with seeing their ideas become a reality. Our firm uses various computer applications as well as hand drawings to communicate and transform these Dreams into Reality so that all parties can visualize all aspects of the project long before a shovel is in the ground.
John Van Oort

Principal Architect and Owner, John Van Oort has over 30 years of experience in architecture and construction. He has a diverse background in the design and construction of projects including educational, healthcare, institutional, commercial, recreational and hospitality architecture.
John received a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Kansas State University, and Associate of Applied Sciences in Civil Engineering Technology from the Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, NY.
Design and Construction has played an integral part of his career starting off early on while he was working with his family in a remodeling business in High School. John developed an early understanding an appreciation for the “art of the business” while managing budgets, schedules, and design approaches.
John had the distinguished opportunity to serve as an “imagineer “intern with the Walt Disney Design team in California for the proposed Epcot center at Walt Disney World in Florida.
Before starting his own firm, John went on to serve as a Project Architect for various firms in Florida, New York and Washington. As a senior member for these firms, he worked hand in hand with the owner’s and contractors coordinating the architectural and construction administration with an expertise on client satisfaction and meeting clients’ budgets.
